One address, and I am the person reading it. I answer most things, though it can take a couple of weeks.

What I like getting

The small thing you started doing that I have not thought of. The upgrade that was worth it in your house and would not be in mine. The thing you kept saving and finally used. Several pieces here started as a reader’s sentence, and one whole section exists because someone wrote to say that the useful half of this subject is knowing what to stop buying. If something you send turns into an article I will ask you first, and I will not use your name unless you want me to.

What I cannot do

I cannot tell you whether a particular product is worth your money. I have not used it, I do not have your house or your budget, and guessing confidently about a thing I have never held is the exact habit this site was started to get away from. I do not do paid consultations and I do not take requests to cover a specific item.

The Saturday list

The box on the homepage is a plain mailto link, not a signup form connected to anything. Using it opens the mail program on your own device with a message addressed to the address above, which is a personal inbox. Nothing is sent until you press send yourself. There is no list platform, no database, and nothing stored anywhere else. The privacy policy sets out the whole of it, including how to be taken off again.

Corrections

If I got something wrong, say so. It goes on the page with a note about what changed.

Brands

There are no sponsored pieces here dressed up as ordinary ones, and nothing is written to order. Read the affiliate disclosure and the editorial policy before sending anything. Being sent something does not commit me to writing about it, or to liking it.

Using what is here

Quote a paragraph and link back, no permission needed. Republishing a whole piece needs asking first.
